Hi, I’m Sarah the salon owner, Managing Director, educator, and mentor for the Sarai team. My journey in hairdressing commenced in 1989 and my passion for this incredible industry remains undiminished. I launched Sarai Hair and Beauty in 2005 embarking on a journey of continual growth, expansion, and team development.

I’m always exploring innovative avenues to fortify our business and nurture our team’s success while staying current and on trend. Paramount to our business ethos is the delivery of exceptional customer service and a strong commitment to enhancing the complete client experience.

I appreciate that my staff spend a lot of time at work. I’ve created a working environment that motivates and inspires them, powers their passion, and encourages loyalty. My dedication as an employer advances personal progression, elevates job satisfaction and ultimately tramsforms  ‘just a job’ into a career to be proud of.

For nearly two decades, I’ve been a certified educator and assessor for NVQs in hairdressing, recently giving rise to the establishment of the Sarai Academy. Sharing my knowledge in hairdressing and presentation skills is a joy. I get a real buzz from bringing out the best in each team member. My main inspiration is my team, a blend of talent, motivation, compassion, and creativity.

I’ve introduced a compassionate and empathetic service catering to clients with cancer and medical hair loss, an initiative aligned with the ‘My New Hair Charity’ founded by Trevor Sorbie. My training encompasses personalised wig services, including cutting and styling, which takes place in a private room in the salon.

Currently, I’m in my final year of a three-year Level 5 degree in Trichology at The Institute of Trichologists. Equipped with medical training as a Clinical Trichologist, being able to diagnose and treat diseases and disorders of the hair and scalp, including conditions such as shedding and hair loss. My ultimate aspiration is to combine hairdressing and trichology within our salon.

I love Sarai Hair & Beauty, my team, and our clients, most of whom have been with me from the start. We’re like one big happy family.

• In 2019, I was a proud member of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s Barber Project Team.

My unwavering commitment to apprenticeships and training has been celebrated with recognition as one of England’s top 100 employers in this regard.

From 2012 to present, I’ve had the honour of receiving the PHAB Service Star award, a distinguished accolade celebrating the professional business and customer care practices within the hair and beauty industry.
